Cafe life in Pau
Sadly it’s raining, so the wonderful views of the mountains promised have not revealed themselves, but the coffee is good.
The Castle is quite spectacular having been the birthplace of Henry IV.
Cathedral also is impressive, but as yet that is all I have. Most of the old town around is closed off, rather strange and disappointing as I paid 4 Euro to park the van, only to be told by a charming running lady that it’s free on a Sunday- bloody machine didn’t tell me that! I will continue my walk after coffee but I fear I may have seen all I’m going to see if Pau 🤷
