Sitges

I had my first campsite shower this morning and very nice it was too! The van is sitting in a nice spot, not many other vans, however the site is massive. Not too expensive for what it has to offer; €27/night including electric hookup. I said hello to that tree next to the van in the photo. The pitch is massive so why are there several trees on the pitch to make it difficult to manoeuvre? Anyway no serious damage just a slightly bent bike rack. My only excuse it was lashing down when I arrived so made it tricky to see 🤷. I regard such battle scars as evidence that the van is actually being used 😉. I’ve decided to walk into Sitges rather than cycle, it’s about a 30 minute walk but partly on a main road so I figure it’s probably safer and tbh the long cycle in and out of Tours left its mark on my posterior. 

Just walked in to town, straight road in from the campsite only 20 minutes. It’s very sunny but it’s surprisingly cold, glad I didn’t cycle in!
I approached some people cramped up on the side of the pavement, of course I thought they were hawking of begging but then as I got closer I realised they were painting! The closer I got the more I saw. Must have been an art group all in different locations painting a restaurant scene. Some of them were very good although I didn’t linger😄

Sitges is lovely but wow was it busy. TBF, it was a very sunny Sunday. Lots of interesting alleys with nice interesting shops and eating places, no shortage of bars. The beach front is really nice and the beaches look very clean and inviting. Definitely worth a visit or short holiday. 
It has a really nice art vibe too dating back to early 20th Century.
